Munchkins began simply as an extension for my desire to understand and learn the art and science of baking.
The magic that unfolds with the union of flour, eggs, sugar and butter, creating different flavors to delight our taste buds was a reward in itself.
Chemistry, never being my strong subject in school, came to revisit me when learning the nuances of baking, though the aroma of chocolate wafting through my kitchen was a welcome inspiration compared to the acidic odors hanging around in the school chemistry lab.
Not having any formal training in the field of baking, I bestowed the dangers of being guinea pigs on to my family to pass verdict on my experiments and they gladly devoured whatever I had to present.
This fuelled my confidence and the constant egging from my sister, to expand my horizons led me to consider offering my products to people other than family and thus was Munchkins born.
I call my endeavor a small time cottage industry, where everything comes out of my tiny home kitchen, be it a regular cupcake or a fancy four tiered chocolate cake, a cookie, a pie or a tart, as long as it involves baking, am raring to give it a go.
Ensuring the quality of every ingredient used is my prime concern, thus, in turn assuring best quality
